Mobile ADAS calibration
to your collision center.

Spot-On performs OEM-spec ADAS calibration on-site at body shops, collision centers, and dealerships across the San Antonio metro — we bring the target boards, the level platform, OEM software, and pre/post-scan documentation. Static and dynamic calibration for radar, camera, and lidar sensors per manufacturer procedure. Required after collision repair, windshield replacement, alignment changes, or sensor replacement.

Calibration is part of the repair, not an optional add-on.

OEM repair procedures require ADAS recalibration any time sensor mounting or vehicle geometry is disturbed. Liability and warranty depend on it being documented.

  • After collision repairAny structural repair forward of the windshield, bumper R&R, fender/quarter replacement.
  • After windshield replacementForward-facing camera behind the glass must be recalibrated to the new windshield optics.
  • After alignment or ride-height changesSuspension work, tire size changes, lift/lowering all shift the sensor's reference frame.
  • After sensor replacementNew or relocated radar, camera, lidar, or ultrasonic sensors require initialization and calibration.

Setup the shop confirms before we arrive.

  • Level shop floorWithin OEM spec, typically less than 0.5% slope. Confirm before we dispatch.
  • Controlled lightingNo direct sun on targets. Most calibrations require diffuse, even lighting.
  • Clear floorspace forward of the vehicleVaries by OEM: BMW + Mercedes 3.5–6 meters; Honda, Toyota less. We confirm per platform when you call.
  • Completed alignment + verified ride heightIf alignment or ride height is off, we calibrate to wrong. Confirm first.
  • Clear-of-faults pre-scanWe perform our own pre-scan on arrival; if you've already done one, send it.

Pre-scan, post-scan, and calibration certificate — on request.

Critical for any work that may be claimed on insurance later. Documentation is available on request and must be requested in advance — before service begins.

  • Pre- and post-programming scan reportsCaptured during the procedure; some logs cannot be regenerated retroactively.
  • Calibration certificateOEM-software-generated where supported.
  • Before/after fault code listsItemized.
  • Itemized work orderTracking-ready for collision claim handling.

Where we dispatch ADAS calibration.

Mobile ADAS calibration is dispatched from our shop at 4715 N Stahl Park in San Antonio to body shops, collision centers, glass installers and dealerships across the ring. Schertz, Selma, Universal City, Cibolo, Converse, Live Oak, Leon Valley and Helotes are inside our included 20-mile travel radius, so trade dispatch carries no trip charge. Boerne, New Braunfels, Seguin, San Marcos, Floresville, Pleasanton and Bulverde (about 22 miles north of the shop) are beyond our 20-mile included travel radius; a $2.50/mi round-trip charge applies.

The included 20-mile radius is measured by road from our shop; we confirm at booking whether a Marion, La Vernia, Spring Branch, Fair Oaks Ranch, St. Hedwig or Elmendorf address falls inside it or carries the $2.50/mi round-trip charge. Castroville, Canyon Lake, Comfort, Bandera, Blanco, Wimberley, Devine and Lytle, and the farther ring — Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Hondo, Lockhart, Luling, Gonzales, Kenedy, Karnes City, Jourdanton and Pearsall — are beyond the 20-mile included travel radius and quoted per mile at the same $2.50 round-trip rate. Because calibration cannot be done remotely or by mail-in, distance is the only variable: the calibration itself is the same job in Kerrville as in Schertz. We do not serve Austin. Vehicle owners are not dispatched to — see our retail ADAS calibration page for in-shop appointments.

Do I need ADAS calibration after a windshield replacement?

Yes, on any vehicle with a windshield-mounted forward-facing camera. The new glass changes the optical path, and the OEM procedure requires a camera calibration after glass replacement regardless of whether a DTC sets. Most platforms want static calibration to a target at a specified distance and height, followed by a dynamic drive where the OEM calls for it. The glass installer completes the replacement, you confirm the camera bracket is seated and the floor is in spec, and we dispatch with the targets and OEM software.

Static or dynamic calibration — which one?

Whichever the OEM procedure specifies for that sensor on that platform — frequently both, in order. Static calibration runs on a level floor with the target set at the specified distance, height and offset; dynamic calibration is a drive cycle at OEM-specified speed and lane-marking conditions while the tool completes the learn. Forward-facing cameras are typically static or static-then-dynamic; many rear radar and blind-spot units are dynamic-only. We confirm the procedure per VIN before dispatch so the bay is set up right.

Do you calibrate for shops in Boerne, New Braunfels, Seguin, San Marcos and the rest of the ring?

Yes. Mobile ADAS calibration is dispatched to shops across the ring. Boerne, New Braunfels, Seguin, San Marcos, Bulverde, Floresville and Pleasanton are beyond our 20-mile included travel radius, so a $2.50/mi round-trip charge applies on top of the calibration. Schertz, Selma, Universal City, Cibolo, Converse, Live Oak, Leon Valley and Helotes are inside the included 20-mile travel radius and carry no trip charge. Farther out — Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Hondo, Lockhart — dispatch is available and quoted per mile.

Can ADAS calibration be done remotely or by mail-in?

No. Calibration needs the vehicle, a level floor, the targets and a technician at the car, so it is always a mobile dispatch or an in-shop job — never remote J2534 or mail-in bench. What can be remote is the programming that often precedes calibration: a replacement camera, radar or steering-angle module that needs OEM software and coding before it will accept a calibration. We can handle that programming by remote J2534 ahead of the dispatch, then calibrate on the day.
