Spot-On Automotive Diagnostics was founded in April 2021 in San Antonio, Texas — an independent specialty shop built for module programming, ADAS calibration, key & immobilizer work, electrical diagnostics, and the long-tail jobs other shops send our way. This is the team that does it.
Five people. One shop.
Jennifer runs the business side of Spot-On. She came into the automotive world in January 2023 from a career in customer service, banking, and investments, and stepped in as co-owner that same year. That financial and client-relations background is exactly what she brings to the shop floor: clean systems, clear communication, and a customer experience that holds together from first call to final invoice.
- ▸Daily administrative operations
- ▸HR, payroll, and accounting
- ▸Leading and supporting the administrative team
- ▸Coordinating communication between customers, shops, and technicians
- ▸Supporting company growth as co-owner
“I take pride in being approachable, responsive, and solution-oriented. I genuinely enjoy helping people and making stressful situations easier to navigate — and the detail-focused, customer-first approach I picked up in investments is something I bring in every single day.”
Davion has been turning wrenches since 2017, and there isn't much he hasn't been into. Tire tech at Discount Tire, then trade school, then Cavender Toyota, then independent shops ever since — full engine, transmission, and differential rebuilds, frame swaps, gas, diesel, and heavy equipment. He joined Spot-On in June 2024 and runs point on our collision-shop work: ADAS calibrations, mechanical repairs, programming, and diagnostics, whatever the shop needs.
- ▸ASE A6 — Electrical/Electronic Systems
- ▸ASE A8 — Engine Performance
- ▸Multiple Ford certifications
- ▸Automotive trade school certification
“One way or another, I make things happen and make sure the job gets done.”
Seth is one of our programming technicians, and he trains directly under Don most mornings — sharpening the diagnostic and programming skills this work demands. He came up fast: porter and general service at Goose Auto, harder mechanical and entry-level diagnostic work at Finsanto Automotive, and now the advanced electrical and programming side at Spot-On. He handles the bulk of our Ford, GM, Nissan, FCA, Honda, and Toyota programming, and he owns the job from flash to post-programming verification — relaying anything that surfaces back to the shop with a clear next step.
- ▸ASE Entry-Level Certifications — Engine Repair, Engine Performance, Electrical, Brakes, HVAC, Suspension & Steering, Manual Transaxle, Maintenance
- ▸EPA-609 MVAC certification
- ▸Ford 6.7L Powertrain Diagnostic course
- ▸J2534 entry-level programming course
- ▸OBD-II scan-tool unlocking course
“A mechanical problem you can usually find by tearing it down. An electrical one takes more brainpower to chase down — and that's the part I enjoy.”
Eight years in the trade, and the person who keeps the front of the house running. Catherine came up through collision — nearly four years moving parts at AutoFit, two years writing service at 360 Collision — before bringing that collision-side fluency to Spot-On a year and a half ago. She speaks body-shop, which is exactly why our shop partners deal with her so easily.
- ▸Scheduling and appointment coordination
- ▸Invoicing, payments, and statements
- ▸Parts sourcing, ordering, and pickup for the techs
- ▸Equipment, tool, and parts inventory
“I've genuinely enjoyed everything this team has taught me — and I keep looking forward to what's next, and to growing the connections we've built with our body shops.”
